Jeni Fujita
Soulful hip hop, jazz, folk, R&B and pop vocalist
Soon after her transition from the Bay Area to New York City in the late 90’s, Jeni was enlisted to sing on Wyclef Jean's debut solo album, The Carnival, and ended up becoming one of the lead singers on his Grammy-nominated hit version of the Latin classic “Guantanamera featuring Legend Celia Cruz.” Soon after she was signed to Sony/ Columbia Records and since has toured with Pink and Quincy Jones’ Tamia and has been featured on recordings with such artists as Lauryn Hill, Kymani Marley, John Forte’, Everlast, Can-i-bus, Charlie Baltimore, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse and most recently featured on Amir Sullaiman’s album alongside Mos Def and Goapele. Equally informed by hip hop, jazz, folk, R&B and pop, Jeni’s vocals and lyrics give a raw and in-depth perspective into her soul. Jeni says, “I strive to be a channel of peace and love, allowing my divinity to shine through every project I am a part of.”
