Thwak! produced an array of New Musical Instruments created entirely from Maytag parts and products. By focusing on what is "under the hood", drummer/producer Tony Verderosa and his team at Thwak! played, tapped, rattled, smacked, hit, and "Thwak'ed!" parts and pieces of Maytag appliances to create a truly organic soundscape and musical composition that gives a unique sonic identity to this TV spot produced by Publicis NY.

The pictures provided will give you a gilmpse of Thwak!'s musical team going for it at Avatar studios using brand new washers and dryers from Maytag. Tony V. created custom mounting systems to design these new 'instruments" and also used an extensive collection of specialty sticks and mallets from Promark to create this new sound identity for Maytag.
